1 p.m.:“Everything You Need to Survive Holiday Travel”

The Times’ Travel staff asked readers to share their own hard-won wisdom for surviving holiday travel. The results are in! Travel editor Catharine Hamm and staffers Chris Erskine and Chris Reynolds will preview the “Holiday Survival Kit” special section, coming up on Nov. 19, and share key tips on how to reduce your stress as you travel this holiday season.

2 p.m.:“How to Get the Best Airfare Deals in the New Year”

Ready to start planning your 2018 vacation? Tom Spagnola, senior VP at CheapOair, will share tips on snagging the best airfare for your next vacation. Plus, he’ll share his prediction son hotspots for 2018. This session will provide plenty of inspiration for upcoming vacations, so don’t forget your planners to take notes!

3 p.m.: “How to Pack Like a Pro”

Packing right and packing light are keys to a great vacation. Elizabeth Harryman, travel editor of Westways, and Paul Lasley, executive producer On Travel Media, will share tips on what to take on your trip, what to leave at home – and demonstrate how to make it fit. Maybe it’s time to retire that old trick of sitting on your suitcase and forcing it closed?

4 p.m.: Depart with a wealth of travel tips and a few souvenirs as a thank-you for being a Los Angeles Times subscriber.
